                   Bloomington Lake, Idaho

Hilary, me, and Kelsey on our hike to Bloomington Lake. That's not it in the picture. That's a large pond.
This is Bloomington Lake. It's a high mountain glacier lake. First time I've ever swam in it. It's usually too cold. Not this year. It was fantastic.
Bloomington Lake is surrounded be canyon cliffs.
Loving it.

                                   Georgia

I was able to visit my childhood friend Rhonda who is pictured with her husband Mike. They currently live south of  Atlanta.

Rhonda and I got to tour this house in Senoia, Georgia. It is the featured home in the August 2012 issue of Southern Living Magazine.

The outside of the Southern Living featured home. It used to be a small farm house that they completely renovated.

This is the home of FDR. It is called the "Little White House". It's located in Warm Springs, Georgia. He lived and died here. It really is modest.
This is the last portrait of FDR, while posing for the portrait on April 12, 1945 he collapsed and later died of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 63. The portrait was finished after his death. FDR was the first president to introduce social programs, such as social security and welfare among many others. What was implemented as good intentions has turned out to be an entitlementt monster. He changed the gold standard which allowed deficits in the budget. All good intentions in government turns out to be a detriment to the economic strength and liberties to our nation.  Look where we are now. He was the Obama of his time. Or should I say Obama's idle.

The happy group.

We played in the water for about 5 hours straight.
Yummy, good ole southern food. Fried green tomatoes anyone?
Friends for over 47 years and counting.

Thanks for a great time Rhonda and Mike, especially during a difficult time.
