More Of Universal Orlando

Although we went to both Universal Parks, we preferred Island Adventure Park best. It's where The Amazing World of Harry Potter is. That was worth the trip to experience. And I'm not necessarily a Harry Potter fan.
Hilary was thrilled.
The castle was amazingly stupefying.
The amazing streets of of Hogwarts.
We ate here at The Three Broomsticks. It was good.
We all had our first non alcoholic "Butterbeer" yummy. I think these two had several throughout the day.
Ready to get on the Hogwarts Express.
What a fun place. We really would love to go at least once a year.

Florida Vacation

Rick, me, Hilary, and her friend, Tana all spent about 8 days in Florida. We went to DisneyWorld, Universal Studios and Universal Island Adventure theme parks. I'll post other pictures in another post of some of the other things we experienced later. We also stayed in Daytona Beach and drove to St Augustine.
Hilary and Tana at Universal Island Adventure Park.

Walking into Jurassic Park at Universal Island Adventure.

Watch out girls, he's hungry.

Hilary is so brave.
This was a very cool ride. We rode it about 3 times.
This is at Universal Studios Park. Lots of amazing things to see.

The Hulk rollercoaster. We rode this at least 5 times. This was very fast.

Fun At The Boise Capital

William, future politician
Cordie, future politician's wife? Sitting in the Governor's chair.
Future politician's children...Ian and Olivia.
Cordie, Mike, and kids met up with Mike's dad, Senator Tippets, to see the legislature in session last Monday in Boise.  The kids had a great time. Cordie tells me that one of her college roommates was the daughter of Tom Luna, who is superintentant of education. She did get to talk to him briefly. I'm actually not too happy with him and the direction he is taking education. Yet, I voted for him. We'll see how things go next year when things are going to change drastically.

Sandy

When we told Hilary we were getting a dog, she drove home from college so she can bond with the new dog.
We adopted a dog last Saturday. Her name was Sissy, but I changed it to Sandy. She is a sheltie collie, border collie mix. They think. She looks like a fox. She is a sweet dog, but she had been abused. It will take some TLC and time before she'll trust us. She sleeps in the house and dosen't make a peep. She is also house trained. She's about 14 months old, which is a guess. I didn't really care what kind of breed we got, I just thought it would be a good idea to adopt. I've never done that before. But I'm hopeful it will be a good decision.

Michael's New Office

After 7 years of higher education, including a law degree and post high school living away on a 2 year church foreign mission to the Philipines; it's nice to see our son-in-law doing something he really enjoys and making a good income. We couldn't be more happy for him. And they only live an hour and a half away. That's a gift to us!

Mike recently moved into his new office and gave his sister Tricia, the honors of decorating it. We got to check it out last Friday. Looks great Tricia. This picture is with Ian, William, and Olivia. They love their daddy.

Loving The Snow

Ian, William, and Olivia enjoying what little snow there is right now. A far cry from a year ago when they lived in Florida.
This is one fun kid.
Two more fun kids.
