Days Gone By

This picture showed up on facebook from my friend Rhonda's sister; taken when we played on the same softball team back in 1980, the summer before I got married. My how things have changed. We were on a women's team from Bell Gardens, in Southern California. This is the very city that would make national headlines for its currupt city officials paying themselves hundreds of thousands of dollars in pay and retirement.
I can truthfully say we took first place and I still have that trophy somewhere around. That was a fun and memorable time in my life. I used to live for sports. But that hair...I don't know what I was thinking. Ugh. Glad for the memories though

Joys Of My Life

My daughter Cordie who is a professional photographer just did this photo shoot the other day of her three beautiful children. They don't always cooperate, but they did this time. She has a link from my blog list, Cordie Ann Photography. Photographers and newspaper people run in both in my family and my husband's family. Thankful my daughter got the gene.

William and Olivia, best friends.

They are so fun together.

Motherhood, Greatest Calling

My Lea, Hilary, Kelsey, and Cordie, top picture; Lea, Cordie, Hilary, and Kelsey, bottom picture.

My beautiful girls in their younger years. Over 13 years ago on a river boat on the St.Croix River, Minnesota.

I always wanted to be a mother. From an early age I knew that was what I wanted most, after marriage of course. I never felt more complete after having children. I'm grateful that I made that most sacred and greatest choice of my life. My children are my life and my grandchildren are the crowning glory of my motherhood.
