Baja California Sur Mexico

Beautiful sunrise on the Sea of Cortez.
This is the view we had everyday for our 15 days here. Not bad.
The front of the house we stayed at.
The court yard.
This home is an open air design. There are two separate buildings. One is the main house with the kitchen, living area, and master suite where Karen and I stayed. The other has the workout room, private patio, laundry, and three guest rooms, each with a bathroom and individual entrances.
Everyday we had a prepared breakfast and lunch always beautifully presented, delicious, and healthy. We always had fresh fruit and a variety of fruit juices freshly prepared; mango, orange, papaya, pineapple, watermelon, carrot, and lemon aide. Amazing.
The incredible staff, Lupida the cook, Alfredo the groundskeeper, and Lupida's two daughters. They took great care of us.
The back of the house.
The awesome edgeless pool that overlooked the Sea of Cortez. We were just a short walk to the beach.

Overlooking the Sea of Cortez.
Our road runner. It came up to our patio everyday and would drink out of the pool. We also saw a jack rabbits, hawks, eagles, and a lynx. But thankfully we never saw a snake or scorpion. I did want to see a tarantula but didn't.
Our own private beach with our chairs. I fell asleep sitting in it one time. Of course we had an umbrella too. It was so hot! I fell asleep laying in the hammock once too.
Beautiful Letty and Bianca, me, Karen, and Letty's madre.
A couple of pictures of when I went for a walk not far from the house.

Lot's of vultures.
A couple of shots of the Bay of Dreams resort not far from where we were staying. We had dinner here a couple of times. Great place. Celebrities come here because of it's remote location. It has a golf course too.

This is Matt, he was our adventure tour guide. He took us snorkeling, kayaking, boating, ATVing on the beach and he also took us to an old abandoned silver mine; it was over 100 years old. Here he is teaching us what to eat in the desert; this is a Pitaya fruit. It is juicy and sweet. It tasted a little like strawberries. We were never bored once.
We even saw the not so beautiful. Lots of trash scattered in the desert. Very unfortunate.
Our all day boating adventure. This was our boat.
First stop was Spirit de Santos Isle. Where the Sea lions hang out. We snorkeled with them. I have video of us in the water with a sea lion bull swimming around us. I'll try to post the video later.

Second stop is this private cove. We jumped in the water with our snorkel gear and swam to those rocks close to shore.
The day before we had to fly home we got up early and a driver took us to Cabo San Lucas which is almost a 3 hour drive from where we stayed. We checked in at the Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar resort for our last full day.
Waiting for lunch.
There were 4 amazing pools, several restaurants and shops.

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
On the golf course.
Karen and I took a water taxi to the landmark of the arch where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez. The water was very rough.
My brother lives and works in Baja Mexico. He has been wanting us to come visit for some time. My sister and I decided it was time. We had a fabulous 16 days seeing the sights, having adventures, eating great food, having our every need met thanks to our generous brother. It exceeded all my expectations. It was a trip of a lifetime. One I will not soon forget. I even learned a little Spanish.
